About SubUX
The idea for SubUX came from a simple realization: proper UX research is not always possible. Budgets, timelines, team resources, or participant recruiting can all create barriers. A practical library of UX guides with best practices, common mistakes, and trusted references helps simplify decision-making and provides arguments you can rely on.
Your shortcut tool
SubUX won’t replace research with real users, but it acts as a valuable companion. It bridges the gap between designers and developers, creating a shared language, and gives managers confidence through accessible, straightforward content. Whether you’re learning UX for the first time or teaching it to others, SubUX can be a reliable resource.
About me
I’m Dmytro “Dima” Ivanchenko, a UX and product designer with more than 15 years of experience creating web and mobile products. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on projects with in-depth UX research and discovery, but most lacked the resources to conduct it properly. Instead, design relied on best practices, hypotheses, and professional expertise, without direct access to real users. This often created anxiety about the outcome.
With SubUX, I want to help make your work easier and give you more confidence in your decisions.
What’s next
SubUX is not static. The library of guides will continue to grow and evolve to meet modern needs. My vision is to build a community around it, helping both beginners and professionals strengthen their practice. The journey has only just begun.
